We collect the following categories of personal data: • Account data: email address, username and password (encrypted via Clerk). • Profile data: your chosen username, avatar and any additional profile information. • Usage data: votes on polls, created polls, quiz results and activity history. • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and cookies. • Communication data: emails you send us or that we send you.

Your personal data is used for: • Creating and managing your account. • Displaying personalised polls and statistics. • Awarding honks (points) and tracking your progress. • Sending notifications and transactional emails. • Fraud prevention and platform security. • Improving our services through aggregated analysis.

Goosetalk uses functional cookies that are necessary for the operation of the platform, including a session cookie (gt_session) for tracking anonymous votes and a preference cookie (gt_locale) for language settings. For analytical purposes we use Vercel Analytics, whereby no identifiable personal data is passed to third parties.

Your personal data is not sold to third parties and is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorised access or unlawful processing. All communications take place via a secure connection (HTTPS). Passwords are never stored in readable form.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy. Changes will be published on this page. We recommend that you consult this page periodically. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you by email.
