Which posh night out do you secretly find a bit boring?

Everyone around you is dabbing their eyes and you're reading the surtitles like a takeaway menu. Lovely frock though.

Shakespeare on stage
You clap in all the right places and laugh when the others do. At the interval you check the programme to work out who died.

A modern art gallery
You stand back, tilt your head and say "mmm, interesting". Then you spend 40 minutes in the cafe.

A jazz night in a basement bar
The bloke on the trumpet is going for it and everyone's nodding. You're counting how many songs are left.

A subtitled foreign film
Two hours of squinting at the bottom of the screen while someone stares moodily out of a window. You call it "beautifully shot".
