Margaret Thatcher
She smoked cigars, wore a man's suit and bossed her cabinet about. Her famous restaurant sketch, where she called her ministers 'the vegetables', is still a classic.
John Major
The show made him completely grey and very dull. He'd sit at the dinner table with Norma, getting excited about his peas.
David Steel
The Liberal leader was shown as a tiny little man. He tagged along behind David Owen and often ended up in his pocket.
Norman Tebbit
He was dressed like a bovver boy in a leather jacket, always ready to sort people out. He was scary and silly at the same time.
Tony Blair
He had wide eyes and a huge grin that never seemed to go away. He was always ready with a cheesy smile for the cameras.
