From TikTok doctors to NHS leaflets, we're drowning in health advice β but who's really worth listening to? Rank these sources from most to least trustworthy and let's see if Britain can agree on anything.
Put the items in your preferred order.

Your GP
Ten minutes, a waiting list, and a printout you'll lose by Tuesday β but there's something reassuring about hearing it from an actual doctor. Or is the system too stretched to trust anymore?

NHS Website
It's free, it's British, and it doesn't immediately tell you you're dying β which puts it ahead of most alternatives. But is a government-run website really giving you the full picture?

Social Media Health Influencers
They're compelling, they're everywhere, and occasionally one of them turns out to have an actual qualification. But are they genuinely helping people or just selling a lifestyle you can't afford?

Peer-Reviewed Medical Journals
Technically the gold standard β if you can get past the paywall and the impenetrable jargon. Most of us are just reading the headline someone else misunderstood on Twitter anyway.

Friends and Family
Your nan swears by a hot toddy and your mate Dave reckons cold showers cured his anxiety β and somehow this still carries weight. Don't pretend you've never taken kitchen table advice seriously.
